Dust collectors and dust collection systems remove dust from air. Some types of industrial dust collectors are: inertial separators, filter dust collectors, and wet scrubbers. Inertial separators separate dust from gas using a change of airflow. The types of inertial separators are: settling chambers, baffle chambers, and centrifugal collectors. Filter dust collectors use a fabric bag or filter cartridge to filter dust particles. Baghouse dust collectors clean the dust cake from the filter media. Wet scrubbers, or wet air scrubbers, use a liquid, commonly water, to remove pollutants and are commonly used with a mist collector.
