Hot melt glue machines can be used in packaging machines such as case erectors, cartoners, or case sealers to apply glue to flaps before they are closed. They are an alternative to cold glue dispensers and tape case sealers with the advantages of a fast setting time, strong bonds, and long shelf life. In general, hot melt dispensers pressurize glue through a pneumatic supply and provide heat to the tank, hoses, and glue heads. They can use multiple glue heads, pattern controllers, and a variety of pneumatic or electric actuators and nozzles.. Hot melt guns can also be used in the construction and assembly of parts.
