Scales are used to measure a weight. Mechanical scales have a platform on which the item is loaded. Multihead weighers add the weights of multiple scaled hoppers to reach a target weight. These machines can be used on a form, fill, and seal machine to fill by weight quickly and accurately. Load cells produce an electrical signal from an applied force and can be installed on tanks, conveyors, or other equipment. The load cell’s electrical signal is converted by a scale terminal or scale head and shown as a weight.
